SilTest at Web Summit Qatar 2025: what happens after the silicon is built
Amid the talk of AI models and cloud platforms, we brought a different question to Doha. Nobody asked why test matters. They asked how to do it smarter.

At Web Summit Qatar 2025, amid conversations about AI, deep tech, and digital transformation, SilTest brought a different but essential perspective: what happens after the silicon is built?
While much of the spotlight fell on AI models, edge computing, and cloud platforms, we focused on the foundation those systems rely on: semiconductor test, validation, and yield optimization.
The interest was clear. Across chip startups, innovation hubs, and engineering institutions, nobody asked why test matters. They asked how to do it smarter.
What comes after tape-out
At our stand we showed how test and yield workflows are changing as AI and better data tooling arrive. The focus was on usable solutions for real bottlenecks, not theory.
YieldOptiX
An STDF analysis suite that lets engineering teams visualize and compare test performance across lots and wafers, detect patterns and correlations early, and remove repetitive scripting from JMP workflows.
AutoMigreX
Our approach to automating test program migration across platforms, reducing manual work, lowering risk, and shortening ramp-up.
SilTest Academy
Training built for engineering teams and universities, to speed up onboarding, upskilling, and real-world readiness in ATE workflows and debug.
The conversations that mattered
We spoke with chip designers, data scientists, investors, and academics. The consistent thread: test engineering is increasingly recognized as an enabler of innovation, especially when paired with scalable tools and domain-specific AI.
Recurring topics included:
- How to reduce the time from first silicon to volume ramp
- Why debug automation is becoming a competitive edge
- The role of data-driven qualification in improving yield
A region positioned to lead
Web Summit Qatar also showed the Gulf region's growing ambition in global tech, semiconductors included. From government-backed research initiatives to emerging fabless startups, real momentum is building, and SilTest is ready to support it with practical tools, partnerships, and technical depth.
What comes next
We left Doha with new partnerships forming and joint research conversations underway. Whether it is smarter analytics, faster test engineering, or hands-on training, we are building the systems that make scaling silicon possible.
